The Württembergische Landesbühne Esslingen includes FAUST in their repertoire for 18 months.

2004

The book “Faust-Jahrbuch 2004” was published. It contains the article “Faust. Die Rockoper. Rudolf Volz setzt erstmals beide Teile in Töne – ohne Textveränderungen. Aufführungsbericht.” by Bernd Mahl.

2004

Publication of the book “Icons of Modern Culture Series – Faust” edited by Osman Durrani. It contains the articleYou’ll always be the one you are. Faust as Rock Opera.” by Paul M. Malone. The article is republished in the book “Lives of Faust” edited by Lorna Fitzsimmons in 2008.

2003

The rock opera FAUST I and FAUST II were performed in the Fauststadt Staufen at the end of the cultural week. This city is closely related to the 500-year-old legend of the historical Faust. It is said that in the year 1539 he did live in the Gasthaus Löwen in room no. 5. There he was killed in an explosion when trying to make gold.

2003

During the season 2003/2004 the Hessische Landestheater Marburg staged a big Faust cycle. Part of this program was FAUST II – The Rock Opera .

2003

First premiere of ″FAUST II – The Rock Opera″ on June 29th. It was done at the occasion of the yearly ″FAUST Festival″ in Kronach. Many experts consider Goethe’s literary work as the “crown of world literature”. Therefore, it is surprising that there was no other opera before.

The company for touring productions Frank Serr Showservice Int. organized a tour of “FAUST – The Rock Opera“ with more than 30 shows.

2002

FAUST – The Rock Opera in a foreign language. It was presented in Spanish. The translation was done by Rocio Oporto. Several performances did take place at the ″Centro Cultural Peruano Norteamericano″ in Arequipa – Peru. The director Gabriel Barriga Gómez was also responsible for the production. Video

The ″Eduard-Winterstein-Theater″ in Annaberg-Buchholz includes ″FAUST I″ in their repertoire. After regular performances for more than two years, the production moved to the theatre ″Wechselbad″ in Dresden.

2001

The ″Deutsche Theater Budapest″ adopts several performances in the ″National Theatre″ in Budapest. In the year 2004 there were additional performances of both, ″FAUST I″ and ″FAUST II″ in the ″Castle Theatre″ in Budapest.
